New ICA Case Refuses Quantum Meruit Recovery for Unlicensed Contractor
The ICA recently reiterated, in Wagner v. World Botanical Gardens, Inc. (No. 28998, Dec. 23, 2011), that Hawaii law bars quantum meruit recovery by unlicensed contractors under Haw. Rev. Stat. § 444-22. A copy of that decision is attached here: (ICA – Wagner vs Botanical Gardens) (see pp. 18-20).
$1 Billion Hawaii Telescope Project to be Funded by China, India
China and India have reached an agreement to partially fund construction of the world's largest telescope at the summit of Mauna Kea.
